Opolis
The first peer-reviewed academic journal specifically focused on suburban studies. Opolis is a joint enterprise of the Metropolitan Institute at Virginia Tech, the Edward J. Blakely Center for Sustainable Suburban Development at the University of California, Riverside, and the Urban Planning Department of the University of Sydney. The full text of published articles is available on the site.

Victoria Transport Policy Institute
The Victoria Transport Policy Institute (vtpi.org) is an independent research organization dedicated to developing innovative and practical solutions to transportation problems. The site provides a variety of free resources to help improve transportation planning and policy analysis.

Urban Planning, 1794–1918
The Cornell University Library sponsors Urban Planning 1794–1918 (library.cornell.edu/Reps/DOCS/), an international anthology of primary source material for the study of how urban planning developed up to the end of World War I. The site includes articles, conference papers, and reports. Unfortunately, the site hasn't been updated in four years, and the design and navigation are reminiscent of a mid-1990s Geocities glurge page.
