FAICP RECOMMENDATIONS AND EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SOUGHT

The 2021-22 biennial round of selection for membership in the AICP College of Fellows is underway.  The International Division is seeking recommendations and expressions of interest of persons to be considered for nomination by the Division Chair.  We want to recognize outstanding career contributions by internationally-active planners, and also highlight such contributions to the Association membership.

Fellows of AICP are nominated and selected by their peers to recognize and honor their outstanding contributions as a professional planner. The outcomes of their individual efforts left demonstrably significant and transformational improvements to the field of planning and the communities they served.  Nominees must be members of AICP;  have been members of AICP for at least 15 years; and must have made outstanding contributions to the profession over an extended period of time.

A recommendation or self-expression of interest should consist of: (1) The name and full contact details of the candidate; (2) a brief statement (under 200 words) indicating a compelling argument for selection based on the special or exemplary accomplishments of the candidate and/or the candidates influence on the community or profession of planning; and (3) the candidates resume or c.v.  Recommendations and expressions of interest should be sent to Tim Van Epp, Chair, International Division FAICP Nominating Committee (tvanepp@gmail.com), no later than 1 June 2021.

Recommendations and expressions of interest will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee. Candidates deemed eligible and competitive will be invited to submit their full applications to the Committee by 15 July and will be offered application assistance by the Committee. Completed dossiers of applicants nominated by the Division will be submitted to the national Fellows Selection Committee by 25 August.
